Hi.
I saw a post on LinkedIn, with a fun and beautifully rendered illustration. The post's author, jokingly wrote, illustration couldn’t really be considered “work".
This might be true if you illustrated anything you desired, in any form, medium, style that moved you.
As an illustrator, you’re rendering someone else’s idea or concept, about a business, product, idea, that they know inside out. On a conception that they haven’t figured out exactly what it should be or look like.
They want you to grab their enthusiasm, find what they're missing, then bring the solution all life in an exciting, fantastical; visual concept.
And they want it three days before they even called you.
It is true,
Illustration is lots of fun, rewarding, in some cases really #@!'n hard.
Even the best coders will look up explanations. If only to make sure they're right or to check that there may be a newer or better suited resolution for the problem.
You need investigation and research.
One who will find 5 resolutions, not only one. Someone who, if you frustrate enough, with answers too long and complex to suit the problem, will conceive and devise a better solution.
I am multiply disciplined.
First an illustrator, I also like to code and build web sites. Coding is creative too!
New ideas, concepts, discoveries come from combining interests, disciplines, cultures and cultural practices. Together they form newer ideas.
Growth comes by sharing and there is creativity in everything.
I once came to a coding solution, in a long line of math and logic, that others wrote pages to solve. It frustrated me and I was not convinced it needed that much effort to solve such a simple issue.
I'm,
I have done some award winning illustrations.
I design and construct, for web and print.
Concepts devised through my own interpretation,
then molded and actualized
into better solutions.
Draw your own conclusions.
Better yet;
